Hello, I have come across a word "Adu" in a story and I understand it as animal. Can anyone tell me what that means? the sentence says "Adu thinnada soppilla" DHANYAVADAGALU

  ಆಡು ಅಂದ್ರೆ Goat. ಆಡು ಸರ್ವ ಭಕ್ಷಕ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರಹದ ಎಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತದೆಯಾದ್ದರಿಂದ "ಆಡು ತಿನ್ನದ ಸೊಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲ" ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
